Colm Cunningham:

Hello to you and welcome to the Dementia Podcast. I'm your host, Colm Cunningham and I've got some exciting news. In our time on the Dementia Podcast, we've explored critical topics from care, diagnosis, design, the arts, and much more. We started the journey to provide you with a toolkit for understanding dementia, its impact on the person, their family, friends and care staff, informed by the latest research and anchored in the voice of people with dementia and their carers. The power of the Dementia Podcast has been hearing those stories from my many guests. And we want to keep doing that. Keeping telling the stories of practitioners, clinicians, carers, and first and foremost, people with dementia. The last year has been amazing. But with the Dementia Podcast production team, we want to share this exciting news. The Dementia Podcast is moving to a seasonal format. Every week, our episodes will be unified by an overarching story that will engage and inform. We're busy planning the first season and we're going to take a little break from our regular releases but we will provide you with updates on our progress. We're aiming for a September launch for the first episode of our season. If you want to check in behind the scenes as we're planning, the best place for you to go is follow us on Twitter@dementia_centre or visit our website dementiacentre.com. We always want to hear your stories and there's never been a better time as the wonderful Dementia Podcast production team are busy planning. So if you have a story to share about what you've heard on the podcast, or even a personal story about dementia, we really do want to hear from you. Please get in touch on hello@dementiacentre.com Thank you so much for listening, and we hope to hear from you very soon and for a little while, bye for now.
